Our courses have been designed to work with, and tested against the following platforms/operating systems, browsers and plug-ins:

Public Service toolkit learning modules

The Public Service toolkit learning modules have been been built in HTML and are optimised to work on tablets such as Apple iPad (in landscape orientation only) as well as PCs and laptops. It has not been optimised to work on 'phablets' or mobile devices.

Required for fully accessible PDFs (offline versions of the modules):

• Adobe Reader 5.0 or greater

Screen readers, plugins and settings

Screenreaders

The modules have been made as accessible as possible and supports JAWS for Windows for both keyboard/pointer devices. Although the programme may work with other readers, they are not officially supported.

Bandwidth

The courses are optimized for users with a minimum bandwidth of 256kbps. Although it will function when accessed via a 56kbps modem, performance is likely to be significantly degraded. 56kbps is sufficient for the text-only version.

Screen size

The courses have been optimised for 1024x724 screen resolution.
